Goatboy’s Grimdark Army List

Goatboy here with Thunder Wolf army. Let’s see if the Space Wolves can take a bite out of the 40K meta!

You might know me from all my Space Goats custom army nonsense from a few years ago so I figured – could I make one that might work now? Of course, trying to get the ally stuff would be hard. But at the very least, the meat and bones of Thunder Wolves I do have. But hey – let’s talk about why and go from there.

I think you could easily make a somewhat decent assault army out of Thunder Wolves, two smash characters in each squad, and then some support to keep them alive as they run up the table. Of course, you need the support of some cheap backfield holders as well as some Assassins to shore things up. This way, you got a ton of options to score, things to do dumb, irritating stuff to the foe, and maybe you can get into assault.

With that in mind – here is the list to check out and see what you think. The Desolation Marines are a real pain in the butt to find right now as well as the Extraction squads. But I think the army needs it. Still – winning with Space Wolves makes you the big-time winner in any event!

Yup as you can see it’s all about hitting the middle with your Thunderwolf jerks, and pouring a ton of rockets into someone. Then holding them off as you rack up those points. Do you think it could work? Would it be worth it to even work on it? Or should we just wait for the new points and balance update we got coming down the pipeline?
